The Ministry of Education recently announced the award list for the 2024 China International College Students’ Innovation Competition (CICSIC), with Shandong Xiehe University securing 9 national-level awards, including 1 Gold Medal and 8 Bronze Medals. These accomplishments fully demonstrate the university’s outstanding achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship education.
       In recent years, adhering to the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education, the university has implemented a competition-driven approach—promoting teaching, learning, innovation, and practical application through competitions. Guided by a student-centered and practice-oriented philosophy, the university actively advances the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent cultivation. To date, the university has secured 47 national-level awards (including 6 Gold, 6 Silver, and 35 Bronze Medals) and 394 provincial-level awards (including 99 Gold, 180 Silver, and 115 Bronze Medals). 
       In sum, these achievements not only highlight the innovative capabilities and practical expertise of our students but also reflect the long-term commitment of the university to advancing reforms in innovation and entrepreneurship education. Moving forward, Shandong Xiehe University will continue to deepen educational and pedagogical reforms, further enhance the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and contribute to cultivating highly skilled, application-oriented professionals with innovative spirit, mindset, and abilities. ( Wang Chunmei, Zhu Xiaoyu, and Chen Deyong, School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship; translated by Wang Xin)
